We all know that being active on social media is a great way to market your business. But if you're anything like me, you struggle to write captions for your posts. As a photographer, I have a million and one images I can post on Instagram, but when it comes time to write the caption, I get writer's block.
Instead of neglecting social media, it's time to not only increase your activity, but also use social media as a tool to reel in your ideal client. This is why I've created a 30 day Instagram Caption strategy guide for you to follow.
This guide was written to help you not only put out more content on social media, but to also directly attract your ideal client. Before diving into this guide, I recommend you take some time to really hone in on who your ideal client is, what they want, what their worries/pain points are, and what road blocks are keeping them from hiring you. By understanding your ideal client, it’s easier to write your Instagram captions and relate to them.
Make sure you are using a consistent writing tone throughout your captions. Lack of consistency confuses your audience which ultimately breaks their trust in you. Our goal is to gain trust with our audience so they don’t have to second guess hiring you.
Each caption has a goal that briefly explains why we are writing this caption. Additionally, you’ll see your specific writing prompt as well as an example from my own personal Instagram and social media strategy. Please be in the highest integrity and do not copy word-for-word. You’re more than welcome to take inspiration from my examples, but every business is different and it’s important that you highlight your own strengths!
Speaking of which, if you have not already taken the time to define your client experience and all of the wonderful things you offer your clients, jot down a list. Write an overview over your client experience. From inquiry to final product. What touch points do you include? How are you serving them along the way? What is unique about the experience you offer? As you make this list, highlight these standout experience offerings so you can easily reference them as you write your Instagram captions.
Last but not least, confidence is the most important! Get into the mindset that you are an expert in your field and you can provide your clients with an amazing experience. If you don’t have confidence in yourself, how can you expect clients to have confidence in you?
Well what are you waiting for? It's right here waiting for you!
